We have an new product ….. Our Buckwheat Pillow.

It’s a traditional Japanese style pillow (Sobakawa)  19’’ x 16’’.

Each pillow is filled with approximately 5.5 lbs. of buckwheat hulls, enclosed in a zipper case which allows you to adjust the size that’s just right for you. The hulls are organic, cleaned and dusted and supplied by a Quebec company and we include a washable protector pillowcase.  All our fabric is 100% cotton.

Buckwheat hulls are the outer layer of the seed, they are cup shaped which will enable constant air flow. They are pest free, nontoxic and biodegradable. For side sleeper or back / front sleeper our pillows offer support and help to maintain good body alignment. Usually there’s a comfort adjustment time of 3 to 5 days. The small, capped hulls make a slight crunching sound but over time most people become unaware.

Care and maintenance. Buckwheat hulls should never be washed or heated (even in the microwave.) Therefore, we recommend that you air them outside in the sunshine every 8 to 12 weeks even in wintertime on a dry sunny day.
